How to calculate availability

Updated on

The Availability Method you select for your activity determines how the number of bookable units will be calculated.

Please look at our tutorials on how to assign the availability methods to the activities if you need more information on how to do that.

Use Activity

  • You can allocate a set number of pax/units for the activity. As bookings are made, the available pax/units online are  reduced.
  • This is the most commonly used option for activities.

Use Rate Option

  • You can calculate availability using multiple rate options.
  • This option is only applicable if you have different spaces/seats that belong to the same  activity. These spaces/seats need to be limited.
  • For example, a cruise liner has multiple classes. All the classes attend the same cruise, but have different availabilities that need to be calculated separately.

Unlimited

  • You can you this option when you do not have a maximum number of pax/units for an activity.
  • This allows you to never turn down a customer.

Use Resource

  • This is a more advanced way of controlling your availability through the use of resources.
  • Resources can be almost anything: 4x4s, yachts, fields and rooms.
  • Once these resources have been set up and linked to activities, the system will allocate resources to events.
  • The system will always maximise your availability so you have the most spaces available as possible.
